Job Title: Head, Accounts & Finance

Locations: Uyo and Kano


Job Description

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts


• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.


• Prepare financial management reports


• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.


• Monitor and support taxation requirements


• Evaluate and advice on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.


• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.

Qualification/Experience and Attributes

• Accounting degree or equivalent.


• Membership of relevant professional bodies such as ICAn, ACCA is compulsory.


• Must possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles.


• Minimum of 15 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting and financial data analysis.


• Must be 40 years old and above.

• Must be a registered member of APCON and NIM.


• MBA would be an added advantage.

Job Title: General Manager (Radio)

Locations: Uyo and Kano

Job Description

• Responsible for the over all station programming & production.


• Responsible for generating original ideas, and to think creativity about how to communicate them.


• Knowlewdge of the industry market different radio stations and programme styles and audience demographics,


• Responsible far creating good programme contents far the station for revenue generation.


• Must take a lead role in  sourcing lucrative sponsorship deals for station programmes and maintaining such sponsorship.


• Ensure proper and careful usage of broadcast equipment and studio facilities with scheduled maintenance.


• Ensure that all programmes are vetted to comply with NBC rules and regulations to achieve zero infraction/penalty

Qualification/Experience and Attributes

• Bachelors degree in Mass communication or any Social Science course from a reputable institution.


• MBA would be an added advantage.


• Minimum of 15 years post graduation experience in a well established radio/television broadcasting station.


• Must be an indigene of the place or someone who grew up there who can speak the native language and knows the nooks and cranny of the place.


• Must be an administrator, have flair for marketing and can also present a programme on air.

Job Title: Account Executive

Location: Uyo and Kano

Job Descriptions 

• Prepare journal entries


• Complete general ledger operations


• Handle monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements


• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts draw up monthly financial reports


• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested and assist with year end closing


• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable


• Prepare tax computations and returns


• Assist with payroll administration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.


• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Job Title: Transmitter Engineer

Job Descriptions 

• Direct as well as coordinate operations plus maintenance activities to radio broadcasting transmitter in accordance with rules and regulation of NBC


• Establish procedures plus standards for operation maintenance of transmitter equipment


• Establish procedures for testing of transmitter equipment and performance of preventive maintenance activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical / Electronics Engineering from a reputable institution.


• Minimum of 7 years hands on experience in a Radio or Television broadcasting station.


• Must have handled or worked on transmitter for a minimum of 5 years preferably in a Radio Broadcasting station.

Job Title: News Editor

Locations: Uyo and Kano

Job Description

• Monitor news gathering operations to ensure utilization of all news sources such as press release, telephone contacts and other reporters.


• Control the news output, identifying stories and selecting and commissioning material for bulletins.


• Set and drive the news agenda inline with the approach and style of the station.


• To generate original ideas and approaches to the way stories are covered.

Qualification/Experience and Attributes

• Must Have HND/B.Sc in Mass Communication or any other art subjects from a reputable tertiary institution.


• Must be able to exercise sound editorial judgement


• Must have excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor and adapt content for different audience.


• Must be able to maintain objectivity in order to be fair and balance in the treatment of stories.


• Must have at least 10 yeas of cognate experience preferably in a radio/television.

Job Title: Traffic Officer

Location: Uyo and Kano

Job Descriptions 

• To accurately schedule commercial airtime and promotions.


• Work closely with colleagues in Marketing, sponroship promotions , events, publicity  and programming.


• Ensure that all commercial activity is delivered to the satisfaction of clients and agencies.


• Ensure that all broadcast materials compiles with the Law, regulation and industry codes; that it meets the station’s audio quality guidelines; and that all use of music is correctly reported within the terms of the station’s music licenses.

Requirements

• A first Degree or HND in Social Science from a reputable institution


• Good knowledge of Advert scheduling in a radio or television station.


• Must possess excellent organisation and administrative skills

Job Title: Radio Presenter

Locations: Uyo and Kano

Job Description

• Research features that will come up during the radio show.


• Plan the general direction of the show, this may include writing and scripting in preparation and rehearsing.


• Meet guests for the radio programme beforehand and discuss the outline of interviews.


• Introduce music, guests and other features throughout the show.


• Conduct interviews with guests in person (either live or recorded) or on the telephone.


• Select a playlist suitable for the audience and time of the day.

Qualification/Experience and Attributes

• Must possess excellent oral communication and presentation skills


• B.Sc in Mass Communication would be an added advantage.


• Must have the capacity to work to a rigid schedule and manage their time effectively
